Excellence concerns all Sciences and Technology, any kind of research and teaching, without thematic priorities. Thus, for example, an internationally recognized research achievement, a pioneer experimental setup, an innovative theory and cases of innovative teaching that have excelled at national or international level could be indications of Excellence. A key criterion for a person or a team to be able to participate in the Excellence initiative is to have excelled and/or have been awarded a national or international award. Excellence can be either collective or individual: it can derive from either individual members of the academic community (faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students, staff, etc.), structures (workshops, fields, etc.) or research institutions (researchers).
For the promotion of Excellence, the Ministry of Education invites the academic and research community to be represented through the Excellence repository, which will be open for everybody to access.
